Noppingen | Credits
Started as a one-man-project, Noppingen is today a collaboration of some fellow LEGO® model builders. Here you can learn a bit more about the creators of our little town:
|
Rainer Kaufmann (Lemming)
Born 1966 in Cologne and recognizably raised there too. My childhood was strongly influenced by the 70's LEGO sets and the beginning of the Technic era. In the 80's, my dark ages started, which should end more than twenty years later. Today, I'm married and have a son, who is unfortunatly still too young for LEGO. But that will change for sure.
As founder of Noppingen, I build mostly townhouses, streets, cars and of course the wellknown palace.

Andreas Tretbar (Tretty)
Born 1968 in the middle of the 'Ruhrpott' in Essen, I'm now a so called Imi, an imitated rhinelander. I made my first playing experiences with those coloful plastic bricks in the 70's. I'm afraid, I have to blame the females for the beginning of my dark ages :-). But they ended abrupt in 2000, thanks to my three sons.
As a member of the board of the Steinhausener Hafen AG, I mostly care for smooth business of all kinds and create the right infrastructure in our little stud world. Therefor I build industrial buildings and things like trucks, ships, cranes and more. Looking for fellow builders, I met Rainer and he met me. What evolves from this cooperation, you see here on this website.

Jürgen Lüttgen (JuergenL)
Born 1972 in Neuss and raised in Grevenbroich-Gustorf, I now live in Düsseldorf.
Since my childhood, there was only one toy for me: LEGO. Starting with only a box of old inherited bricks, partially even CA bricks, and without any sets and building instructions, creativity was highly demanded.
In 1981, I got my first new set: 6929 "Star Fleet Voyager". So I came to LEGO Space and later with the tractor 851 to LEGO Technic. Only as a grownup, purchases of used bricks were added and the toy-playing evolved to a model building hobby. By now, I should have crossed the mark of 1000 kilos.
I like industrial building the most. Some time, I met Tretty on one of our countless collectors meetings and he asked me, if I would like to collaborate in the building of an industry harbour. So I thought, a refinery would do very well there, wouldn't it?
And with the Steinhausen refinery, I'm the only producer of ABS fuel in the whole country. Every little car needs my Octan-juice...

Gregor Meier (BricksInLev)
Born 1965 in Opladen (now a district of Leverkusen), I remained true to my hometown - apart from some unvoluntary excursions in olive green. However, that cannot be said about my "LEGO love".
My first broken fingernails resulted in the late sixties from the deconstruction of a Modulex house, which I got from my great-aunt. This was my entry to the world of those colorful little bricks - of manageable size at this time.
The following years, a lot of sets should follow. Mainly train and town themed. For what reasons ever, I lost interest in building bricks in the late seventies. Resulting in - seen today - fatal consequences. Some suitcases full of LEGO went to my cousins in former GDR.
After more than 20 years of abstinence the unavoidabler happened: I had a relapse! Encouraged by my own children, I just could resist the charme of PRIMOS and DUPLOS, but as soon as the first true LEGO sets entered the children's room, I became more and more infected.
And now? It's a bit like 30 years ago. Somewhat crazy. Still the themes are train and town. Welcome to conditioning...
Well, and with LEGO, Jürgen, Andreas, Rainer and Misch (in chronological order) now steel my time with there small LEGO projects (and I'm not really unhappy about that).
In Noppingen, I try to fill those small gaps with buildings. Following the motto: What isn't yet, can be done. Well, sometimes...

Daniel Dax (Misch)
Born 1986 in Luxemburg-City, I now live in Warken, a small village in the north of our country. Since I'm still quite young, I never had Dark Ages and the transition from a LEGO playing kid to a model builder was rather seamless.
In Noppingen's harbour, I'm responsible for trading and loading of all kinds of parcels. So I'm trying to create the best possible stocks, storages and warehouses. Adittionally, I'm the person in charge of the resue and fire team in the whole Noppingen district.
